I took some pictures for an upcoming project in my Illustration class. This is the one I'm using. Still don't know what media I'm going to use for it..Me and Poofles! She looks possessed! Her mouth is wide open and bearing her fangs if you can't tell. The image quality isn't the best, and holding an angry cat for picture time isn't so easy either.

i love the chair... so stuttle, yet so dramaticly played into the picture and of course the awesome expression of both cat and holder... makes you wonder....

I think the problem with this being so blurry is either movement (1/8 second is plenty of time to get motion blur) or your camera wasn't in focus. You can manually focus that camera, but i don't know if you can manually set aperture or focal length. That would help widen your focal plane. If focus isn't the problem, maybe add more light to the scene to increase your shutter speed. You can darken in PS later. (That should pretty easy for someone like you) Hope that helps for next time.
