The Legend of Captain Jackie Morgan (part 3)

Centuries later, in the year 2018, after the end of the Living-Dead War, the great hero Logan, another human who had made his home in the darkworld, sought to improve himself and his family in order to protect the world from any future threats. To this end, he tapped into the most powerful resources he had in order to explore the Celestial Kingdoms of Heaven, Hell, and Oblivion.

His travel to Oblivion was perhaps the most harrowing. During his stay there, Logan was sent through pieces of dozens of past and future lives, each one bearing a fragment of his own soul. Though his identity was replaced entirely by whatever current incarnation he lived in at the time, he was somehow guided through them, one by one, by a force he could not see or touch. At the end of his journey, Logan found himself in a sea of empty black space, on the deck of a ghostly and rotted ship, face to face with his "spirit guide", another of his past incarnations, the pirate witch, Captain Jackie Morgan.

Jackie made Logan a proposition. She would sail him out of the sea of his fragmented lives, and in exchange, Logan would bring Jackie out of Oblivion and back to the mortal realm. With his soul streached thin, and his sanity and identity nearly gone, Logan was desperate for an escape. He agreed to Jackie's accord. Though Logan remembered little of the exchange, he did indeed escape Oblivion, and he did not come alone. After more than two hundred years, Captain Jackie Morgan had once again been unleashed upon the darkworld. This time she was neither human nor darkworlder, but rather a returned soul from Oblivion given flesh, an "outsider", as Logan called people like her.

Jackie's plan was clear, free Davy Jones, and kill Lord Cutler. But in order to do that, she required a great amount of preperation. Lord Cutler was now centuries old, barely human himself, and had gripped control of most of the southern hemisphere of the darkworld. On top of that, he still had control over Davy Jones, whom he used to muscle dominion ofer the empire he had built. The task set befor Jackie Morgan would not be an easy one. Using her witchcraft to raise the Morbid Mistress from it's watery grave was easy, the rest, however, would take Jackie money, crew, and years of work.

Jackie's first step was gathering a crew for the Mistress. Not just any crew would do, however, not this time. Jackie scoured the darkworld in search of the best and hardest of scallywags. Among her hand picked band of brigands were criminals and rogues that had already found noteriety in the darkworld. Her first choice was in England, Cobra; Mantazz Punker and former leader of the Brotherhood.. From the deep catacomb prisons of Rome came Amnesia; a Pezadilla thief with a penchant for erasing the memories of her victims. From the jungles and cemetaries of Columbie came Carlito de Putrido; a ruthless Caribbean Lytch known for pillaging entire villiages and settlements with his undead hordes. From the United States, Jackie found Pearl; Darkness Daughter, gunslinger, first ward to Mistress Pariah, and notorious triggerwoman for the Mob. Last, but not least, there was Bart, Jackie's loyal imp, whom she summoned back from Hell personally. These, along with a large number of other high end criminals made the new crew for the Morbid Mistress.

The next step was to pirate enough money to upgrade her ship, and purchase a suitable port to base Jackie's operations. This pirating run, though only lasting for about two years, proved to be the most difficult of Jackie Morgans career for two reasons. First, she was working primarily in the Northern Hemisphere, so as to avoid detection by Cutler. The North was an area unknown to Jackie as far as pirating was concerned, and had much more in the way of security, which led to Jackie's second problem. Being unaccustomed to pirating in the twenty-first century, Jackie found all sorts of new problems with her intended targets. Airships, magic shieldings, new guns, radar detections, and advances in sorcery made honest pirating a truly difficult task. Many times the Mistress failed to defeat their intended targets, and what few they did manage to plunder drew the ire of extremely powerful people. During those two years, Jackie and her crew had to accomplish countless narrow escapes from the likes of the Vampiric Trinity, the Raidensa Empire, and even the Io.

Fortunately, what treasure was to be had was greater and richer than in Jackie's time. After the few months, Jackie had the Morbid Mistress upgraded to a full blown airship. After two years of pirating, combined with the massive hidden trove of treasure emassed from her previous career, Jackie had accumulated enough wealth to insert herself as govenor of the port of her choice, a choice that held both strategic and personal value to her, Cancun. In the five years since Jackie Morgan claimed Cancun, the city has become the quinessential pirate port; where swag can be traded and sold, ships repaired and upgraded, and booze, sex, and portly pleasures can easily be found.

Jackie's city of debauchery and piracy hides a much more powerful plan in motion, however. During her time there, Jackie has been forming alliances and building an armada. Gathering every pirate ship and captain in the southern hemisphere under her banner, as well as solidifying a partnership with Logan and his military fleet from the north, Jackie is now poised to launch an all out war against Lord Cutler. After over two centuries in Oblivion, and years of preparation, Jackie Morgan is about to show the world that there is nothing more dangerous than a pirate with a quest for revenge.
