Description
I'm sorry for posting this a second time. I used this file to try out DresdenskinsArt render settings and a new HDRI that I got and I liked the result - and the time in which I got it, thank you, Steve! - so much that I thought I had to make something out of it.
Loosely inspired by: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9knLKB⦠... I still mourn that show.

Really overturns the image of witches as warty hags with green skin!
Love the outfit too... Β

With abs like that you can get away with absolutely anything...

Ganz toll gemacht!Β Β Β Β

Thank you I have to βadmitβ though that the light happened completely in Photoshop ^^ I used the new Sparkling Crystal HDRIs but everything else is postwork.

Oh my, thank you This isn't only rendered, though, it's a hell lot of Photoshop, too. My pictures are more composites because I don't like setting everything up in Daz and leaving it in the software's hands.

Ah, I see. I figured that was the case, still. The more you add in Daz3D the less work in Photoshop, at least for me.
Since you've done this far longer than I, would you mind checking this piece out?Β Attention.

90 minutes is an incredible time for that. I took a snapshot of your settings on my phone because - of course - next time I tried it I got my bug where only a section of the pic renders. I found out that can only be properly fixed by resetting the render settings to default, rendering something, cancelling and then putting in the render settings again. *groan*

You're not the only person to mention that problem - one I've never experienced myself, so I can't explain it. I do know that Daz Studio leaks memory like a colander, and RAM, especially VRAM gets eaten away bit by bit, the more times you hit render or do a render preview until eventually it gives up and reverts to CPU. But I've never had a situation where it only renders a section of the viewport. I'd be interested to know exactly what version of Daz Studio you're using. I use 4.12.0.85 BETA.Β

Oh, you switched to 12 after all? I'm still using the 4.11 version that you gave me, I need to check the exact number. The bug has been known since 4.10 or older though. The question pops up in the forums from time to time. At least now I know how to fix it.

I switched to 12 but only the BETA version that came out just before the last major release. I can't fully remember why I didn't go on to the release since it's literally just one number up (mine is 4.12.0.85 BETA and the release is 4.12.0.86), but I seem to remember something about either it rendered a little slower or for some reason a scene that rendered fine in the BETA reverted to CPU rendering in the release. Either way I'm clinging on to '85'for as long as I can.Β
