Corruption is often hidden by false purity, and vise versa, so black is purity and white is corruption? Or maybe the splotches are the rare few that are the few that seep throught the cover

You are correct! but I have a different meaning to it.
I based it off the phrase "Blood is thicker than Water"
Because Water and White are seen as truth and purity, whilst Blood and Black are seen as Corruption and Lies.
Yet, the opposite is true. Black is purity, Blood is truth and clarity. White is blind corruption, water is lies and deceit.
Darkness is the truth, Light is deceit.
and Blood is thicker than Water.

Ah. Thing is though, is that when people do these kind of things, they tend to switch things around. And things is though, light is the same as darkness. Both are pure until touched by the other. Blood is a life source, and at the beginning of life, people are born with no bad bone, but it can be lost with wounds or bad experiences. Water, while it can hydrate people, it can drown them.
