I think I understand what is going on,after reading the translation,it seems that Silva brought Vanessa to the stronghold so she can get some books,and then Silva bursted out saying that cave spiders(spiders)are stupid,at the third panel Silva is like saying How do you feel like?jealous?handing books to you fools are no problem~
