One thing I liked about the comics was, they seemed really open minded.

In issue 241, they were shooting for an all-female reboot of Radioactive Man (with Patty and Selma playing the lead role, but thats unrelated), much to Bart's displeasure, but eventually does what he can to get the movie going along. For all I know is, the character would've been a female version of Claude Kane III himself. Female versions of Fallout boy and the superior squad (which I'm guessing would've been gender-bent) didn't appear.
