It could, I suppose, be seen as totally beneath those of us who like to think of ourselves as "real" artists. There are, however, wonderfully creative options that open up through this technique too. Something strange happens to the magazine pictures once you gesso them, and hidden meanings and multiple interpretations begin to suggest themselves.
