This is awesome!
Since the building has got a round shape and many holes ordered in squares ( they improve spatial effect) it looks a bit organic. The colour gradient ( from yellow to blue/green supports this. This is also the reason for the "vivid" impression of the building. Therefore there is a connection to living beings. The foreground shows a street light improving spatial effects again and making up a link to human things.
The sun represents a contrast to the dark colour of the bottom.
The Sun is shining through those holes, who are "overtaking" the shine.
The title says "shine instead of me please". Which instantly reminds one of human relationships and the link to this picture.
I especially like the bright/dark contrast, since freindships/close relationships are sometimes considered as equalisations to be more complete.
