Description
Drawing inspired by the short story "The Rats in the Walls," by H.P. Lovecraft. The story begins with the narrator moving into his ancestral home in a wild region of England. Disturbed by the constant sound of rats in the walls, he follows the rats down to a vault deep in the cellar. Summoning some friends to help him open the vault, the group is astonished to find a vast subterranean world of limitless mystery and horrible suggestion.".As they explore the underground city, an awful discovery is made. One of Lovecraft's best stories.

I've read a few of his works before, mainly The Call of Cthulhu and At the Mountains of Madness. Obviously, there's still a lot of ground for me to cover. For anyone interested, Tim Curran wrote a great book called Hive, which is a kind of sequel to At the Mountains of Madness and adds in some elements of John Carpenter's The Thing to boot! It was right up my alley. You might enjoy it as well.

One of Lovecraft's more disturbing stories, and his best.

I haven't read it, but I would wager that you've captured the feeling quite well. My main crit would be that a rat's butt isn't so pointy, but that's about it. Nice job!
