Found a quick little fanart sketch I did two years ago of ~Spidergirl79 's cartoon OC, "Colin" [link] from her "Dimples" webcomic. It was more difficult to draw a cartoon character as a real life character than I thought it would be, so this was a nice little artistic challenge

This is really good. I love the idea of doing a real life figure from a comic. And this has come out great. I bet it must have been challenging as hell.

Interesting angle to go about a piece, Athena. I saw the original, and you did a great job translating it to your style. There's great symmetry in the face. On first glance, I thought it was Mr. Spock!

It certainly was interesting ... the lines of the face on the cartoon don't exactly match up with a regular face; I discovered the cartoon was very elongated in the nose and blocky in the jaw. It looks fine on a cartoon, but kinda odd on a "real" face. It was difficult to translate, so it was good practice.

LOL aww thanks. It was fun to draw a cartoon character as a "real" person - much harder than I was expecting, the nose doesn't quite work
