Description Photoshop and Wacom exclusively (no scanned presketch). 2-3 hours

Still practicing drawing with my tablet. The line art is a bit squiggly, but I'm getting a better grip on the coloring. This is for my little brother Louie, who loves Vash even more than I do ^__^ I could not see what was going on with his hands in the reference, so I just drew them in a different pose. I've also put in what I hope is a more interesting background. Hope my little bro likes it!

I KNOW!!! I wanted his little vision to come true, but no, he had to die! I was soooo sad. The good thing is his kick-ass cross came in handy at the end.

Your "practice" art is better than many peoples' finished art!!! Looks to me like you're getting a great handle on the ol' Wacom, there!!!

How.....how, did....I miss THIS?!?!? Awwww, you drew my boy! This is great!! I recognise the image you got it from, I have a Trigun art book with character designs n' such.

I am seething with jealousy of your art tablet!!! I want one so bad, but I live paycheck to paycheck....*sigh* I just KNOW I could make my drawings look good with color if I only had the TOOLS!!! AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!

You are already good with this! You should be proud! It looks GREAT!!!

One question....when you draw on the tablet, does it show the drawing on a screen on the tablet itself, or do you have to look at the computer while moving your hand on the tablet? I've always wondered...

This really does inspire me to finish my Vash....

awww glad you liked him. I'm not so good at the digital stuff yet, but I'm working on it. I have a link in my description showing where I got the image, it's a still from the first episode (I changed the background). I couldnt see the hands very well, and had to make up my own version. Tabbies are easy to get, try ebay and I think you might be surprised at how cheap you can get one. Here, check them out: [link] I used to draw with my mouse and let me tell you, there's NO comparison to using a tablet. *kisses tablet lovingly* With all tablets I know of, you only see the drawing on screen. You look at the computer while drawing. Trust me, you get used to it QUICKLY. I find myself concentrating on the cursor just like I concentrate on the tip of my pencil or paintbrush. You'll love it when you get it. I can't wait to see what you do with yours when you get it!!

Yay for Vash! Great use of colours - I love how simple the background is, it does its job and doesn't take any of the focus of the character And I just adore the shading on his jackt.... great work! ^__^
