And sorry to hear that your suspending your Duke cosplay. But i see what you mean. It would get real annoying to always be expected to do things from The Abridged Series, when you want to go as the ORIGINAL character and what it was meant to be :/

Well mine was made by a relative of mine, and I styled the wig. So try to find someone who is good at sewing and if you aren't good at styling wigs get some help on that too.
