Again, fanart to AdrenaVeris's K-ON AU fanfic Spiral [link]This is overdue. I didn't really want to draw it because this scene should be colored, especially Mugi-sama's royal red dress.
Alas, I couldn't get it out of my head. totally neglecting lab reports and I should be sleeping too...
Well, this is just a sketch hence the wobbly floor lines and fail piano and the girl who you can't really tell is Jun due to lack of short pigails
damn that piano. Then again I haven't touched on in years, except I raeped chibi's keyboards weeks ago
and I somehow couldn't find that yellow pencil I used to shade the previous fanart with...wtf? And so, lack of shade for the piano ~_~ maa, don't mind don't mind

There's nothing I can do about it. The happier times will not return anymore. Keep dancing, enjoy the dance for what it is.

Yea, around this part. The whole piano section is still my favorite. There are no words to describe how brilliant it is.

And just when I thought I got over Mugi's story, you draw this...
I realized that I got much too distracted by Mio's story in the Dyad 7 when I felt the impact of Dyad 6 again upon seeing this. I sort of want to smack myself because of that. But thanks for reminding me about this. Mugi was just as big a victim in this story as Mio. She was just a bit stronger than her that why it was easy to forget that Mugi suffered too.
Anyway, you did a great job with this even though you drew this at, what, three in the morning? That sad yet regal expression on Mugi's face speaks volumes. Just looking at her makes me hear the pieces she played in the scene, makes me see the thoughts and the words written for that scene. It looks like she's in a trance, like she's sleeping while awake, just like how she metaphorically was in the story. Truly, great job showing that.
Azusa's tears have their own impact as well, especially if one knew how they came into existence. There were sobs there, those tears merely flowed out.
That's a decent piano though, considering the time constraint you have had with this picture. Lol. Don't sweat it. I do agree with you though, I hoped that this scene would be drawn and colored. I would have loved seeing Mugi's red dress. Oh, I love the diamonds in Mugi's person. Ace of Diamonds indeed.

I was actually going to draw the rest of the HTT but then I realized we never get to find out how they feel about Mugi's performance. I wonder if Ritsu understood the second movement...hell, I wonder if Yui wears that damn non-smile the entire time...

Yeah, we also didn't see how they felt with Ritsu's performance in Dyad 5. But then again, she didn't perform. She just slaughtered the contestants. Lol.
We just know that the absences were deliberate. It's the Chibi's work after all.
