Huh, the category system changed A LOT during my long absence...Anyways, the truth is, this fanart was half-done like, a year again (yes, even older than my October Journal Entry), but now that summer's here, I've decided to finish it and voila!
Our favorite couple *glares at all who disagrees* Athrun and Cagalli from GSD!
They're wearing their casual cloth from after Final Plus (they didn't actually wear these clothes in it but I saw them wearing those from a scan)
The title? No idea why. Probably because they're at the memorial site on Onogoro Island.
Fan Rant:
Now, this is what should've happened in Final Plus: Athrun and Cagalli, ALONE, at the memorial site, as opposed to Shinn&Luna, Athrun&Meyrin, and Kira&Lacus as one big happy group. I really hate how Cagalli gets cut out of the picture for most of this season. Oh, so Cagalli's too busy? RIGHT! Lacus is the mediator between PLANTS and Earth AND she could still make time to come here.

I totally agree with what u said about cagalli being cut out most of the season, especially in the last 5 episodes of gsd, and to top it off, she isn't even seen much and has no lines like the other 4 protagonists in the special editions of gsd! 
i mean what was up with them showing meyrin accompanying athrun to Plants all of a sudden which caused many people to think that it's athrun and meyrin out of nowhere!!! i mean c'mon they're nothing more than friends and if accompanying a friend/comrade means they're ur lover all of a sudden, then i'll assume it's yzakxlacus since it was yzak accompanying lacus at the end of the special edition of gsd instead of kira, lol!
...and another thing, do we ever see kira wearing the ring lacus gave him so what if cagalli takes off the ring athrun gave her...just becuz she's not ready for him yet, does not mean they 'broke up'!
...i mean u wouldn't expect her to work 24/7 for the rest of her life and have no 'relationship' at all, that's just rediculous!!! sure she'll be busy for a while rebuilding orb but then she would settle down and be ready for athrun and i'm sure athrun would wait for her cuz he loves her and help her rebuild orb cuz after all that's what he wanted, the power and freedom to protect cagalli and be by her side! and that's why he became the admiral of orb to be by her side, right? so it's still athrunxcagalli no matter what other people say and WILL be in the movie too-as for asumey, it's just another asu-fanpairing like asuluna, asumeer, asukira, asushinn...lol!
sorry for rambling on way too much cuz cagalli is my #1 favourite character from gs/gsd and from all other animes and seeing her, one of the protagonists of gs/gsd, not so much in gsd and in the special editions just irritated me to no end

That's a beatutiful picture. I love the colors and that light. Although Cagalli's head seems a bit too big.

oh yea, I was trying to show that Cagalli's standing closer to, um, our side, while Athrun's standing further into the distance but

The background is totally awesome x). I think this would've been an awesome scene at the end of the Final Plus. I mean seriously, Cagalli gets cut out a lot in Destiny (or at least in my opinion >.>; )
