----Jabberwock-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The manxome dragon from the classic "Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There" by Lewis Carroll. While he
doesn't appear directly in the book itself, the creature is mentioned in a poem Alice founds inside a book during her
journey in the Looking-Glass Land. In the story, he's defeated by a young hero holding the Vorpal sword, who stumbles
upon the creature inside his forest domain. While his appearance isn't outright mentioned, he's mentioned to have
"eyes of flame" and "The jaws that bite" and "claws that catch", and his original illustration by John Tenniel portrays
him as a chimerish dragon: fish-like head, rodent teeth, insect antennae and a dragon or dinosaur-like body, while also
wearing human clothes and socks.

While college out of the way and poorly slept nights in the past I finally had time to finish this one.

I decided to choose the Jabberwock because while everyone knows Alice in Wonderland no one seems to remember this guy...
That's just sad. =__='

The drawing is based on the original illustration by John Tenniel which accompanied the book's first edition:

Initially I intended to just redraw his original design in my own style, but I ended up not liking the result, so I decided to
make my own Jabberwock. I wanted to make him scarier than the original, but at the same time keeping the silly characteristics
that define him as one of Lewis Carroll's characters, such as his clothes and adding a pair of cute little glasses and umbrella
wings.

Jabberwock's design was quite a lot of work, that adding up all college work was the main reason posting this took so long,
but I hope you all enjoyed it.

O homundo dragão do clássico "Alice Através do Espelho e O Que Ela Encontrou Por Lá" por Lewis Carroll. Enquanto ele
não aparece diretamente no livro em si, ele é citado em um poema que Alice encontra em um livro durante sua aventura
no País dos Espelhos. Na história, ele é derrotado por um jovem herói empunhando a Espada Vortal que se depara com a
criatura dentro de seu domínio na floresta. Nenhuma descrição sua é dada, fora o fato de que ele possui " olhos de
fogo " e possuindo uma "garra que agarra" e uma "bocarra que urra", porém, a ilustração original de John Tenniel
mostra a criatura como uma quimera: cabeça de peixe, dentes de rato, antenas de inseto e corpo de dragão, além de usar
roupas e meias.

Com a faculdade fora do caminho e noites mal dormidas para trás eu finalmente tive tempo de acabar esse aqui.

Escolhi o Jaguadarte por perceber como todo mundo conhecida Alice no País das Maravilhas mas ao mesmo tempo quase
ninguém conhecia ele... Isso chega a ser triste. =__='
O desenho foi baseado na ilustração original por John Tenniel que acompanhou a primeira edição do livro:

De início eu ia apenas redesenhar o design original da minha própria maneira, mas não gostei do resultado, resolvi
então fazer meu próprio Jaguadarte. Quis fazer ele um pouco mais ameaçador do que o original, mas ainda sim manter
alguns dos elementos bobos que definem os personagens de Lewis Carroll, como as roupas e adicionando um par de óculos
fofinhos e asas de guarda-chuva.

Este foi bem demorado, e junto com a faculdade acabou sendo o motivo de eu demorar tanto pra postar alguma coisa, mas
espero que tenham gostado.
