In one of my universes, Heatwave from RB is the same Heatwave of G1, a part of Nexus Prime, the first combiner

The threat of Unicron lead to Optimus prime finding the reincarnated 13 primes to battle the god of chaos.
vector tried to recover the other parts of his brother, but was incapable of completing him since Topspin perished.
Thus he had to reform Nexus with the enigma of Combination, and so using the Rescue Team: Blades, chase, Boulder, Heatwave (as their leader) in addition to Blurr.

One e fused, sadly, they all lost their individuality and now are mere drones of 1 single mind: Nexus’
His memories finally arose and took over the new being, as Nexus Neo.

bigger and stronger than most combiners Nexus Neo has levitation capabilities and has been in contact with the Blades of Time long enough to comprehend Multiversality, time and space to a level none could reach apart from Primus and Vector.

Nexus still holds his joking nature, he calls himself the greatest comedian after Amalgamous. And has the title of the second strongest warrior that existed and still exists.

Like Bruticus in The Alignated games, his helicopter blades do work as a shield.
