Description
Skull Splatter DrawingThe big difference on the skull that i poster yesterday is that now it has two layers of transparent white and white on it ( using tattoo color ) + another layer of charcoal and light gray/brown. Than i added the splatter pattern using a brush and tattoo ink.
These splatter drawings are so fun to do , and messy

How nerve racking is it when you get to the final step of splattering the ink? Do you get terrified you might ruin the masterpiece you have, or are you used to it by now?

I like splatters (everybody does) but for me, there are too many, too dark and too similar to the other works... I think it fits better on the owl, but repeating the same way because of it looks cool finally it takes off the coolness of variety I think.. I suppose that they are for non-stop drawing every day, and finally it's a huge lot of drawings to do each one different from the others... I prefer do things that are different style, way to draw, technique, or whatever than do stuff that are alike, I think variety teach me more, and finally the result isn't monotonous...
That's my opinion... by the way, the drawings, paintings and so are great, and they push me to try to improve myself, and this is the important fact.

Out of the splatter drawings shown here I like this best, followed by the Owl. Here it makes the skull look like it's flying, followed by some trail of dark magic. In the Owl picture I find that it just goes well with the dirty, feathery look and emphasizes the form very well. In the horse drawing there is a little too much black ink for my taste. I don't really know about the "Wild Pencil Drawing", maybe the splatter is not even bad there, but the color scheme of the whole picture just doesn't appeal to me very much.
