Description
St. Patrick's Cathedral, NYC.This is an HDR merge of three images (underexposed, properly, and overexposed). Texture mapping in PS3.

Some day I want to go to NYC. That's an awesome building there. I look at that image and I see age and strength. That cathedral has weathered many years, and still stands strong. Then the age of it is called into question with the sky scrapers on each side...and the viewer is left wondering. I really like the vignetting at the top, it lessens the impact of the sky scrapers but still leaves them plainly visible.
Great texture on the top too, the dots and such...how'd you manage that?

thanks...to get the texture i multiplied a layer of rock/grunge texture into the image itself.

I've seen some pictures of cities using this technique... this photo definitely shows that it can be just as cool with a single building. Granted the building itself is pretty awesome.
