Not a fan of the pairing, but I do agree with this artwork. It seemed to me that though they were close friends, Tavros didn't feel that way for Gamzee. They were close, but not that close, so it seemed unrequitted love to me.

If he hadn't killed so many, I'd feel more sorry for him too. XD Same with Eridan. Had Eridan only gotten over his hard headed-ness(if that's even a word) and listened to his friends, he wouldn't have lost his sanity too. But, he didn't even do that while on the Land of Wrath and Angels, so that's somewhat to be expected.
