Description ATTENTION

Alright, I needed some colouring practise and I wanted to see some more Yoko so here's what I did:

I downloaded a colouring sheet from Marathon's Team Galaxy site ([link] ).

Finding the line quality not so good I traced it.

Then I coloured it.

So... I know there are mixed opinions about this sort of thing here on dA but really all I wanted to do was get some colouring in. I did not do the line work here (well, I did do some tweaking here and there but anyway) all I did was add a spot of colour.

Cheers,
AT

Well, I went back to SCAD several times when they forgot to ring something up and paid for it and a few dealers who I do business with have had to explain to me why this wasn't charged. Most of the time, these "extras" were thank yous from the seller, showing his or her appreciation for my business.

Hey, it's cool. You have clearly stated what you started with and what's your work, and that should be irreproachable. Nice colours on a nice girl!

Thank you so much

I saw this line art sitting in my stock art folder and it kept saying "colour me" so I had to give in eventually.

I want to be able to draw this style freehand one day...

Thank you! I just hope the colours don't burn people's eyes out, I picked all the colours here pretty much without reference...

Ah, ok, specifically in the French version you will find the pages under Labo and then colourage.

I'm not sure if they allow hot linking, but here you go:

Yoko is called Kiko en Français.

Cool man. But what did you use to paint it. Adobe Illustrator or what...?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AtomicTiki In reply to Anonimous21 [2008-09-28 21:21:19 +0000 UTC]

I do everything in Photoshop

Illustrator is just different enough to be frustrating to me heh...

Anonimous21 In reply to AtomicTiki [2008-09-28 22:07:57 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, yeah. Illustrator VERY confusing. My brother works by using all of Adobe programs. Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, you name it. But i kind of got the rhythm...

I should spend some time to learn it I suppose... one of these days.

I got some pics which were made 100% Illustrator. They're TOTALLY amazing!

Oh yeah. They're amazing! I might upload'em. Just to give you a taste of what Illustrator can do.

But i will not take ANY credit for them.

Anonimous21 In reply to AtomicTiki [2008-09-30 14:13:02 +0000 UTC]

Maybe i will. But i just want to show what Illustrator can do. People say that Photoshop is much more comfortable, i know it is, but Illustrator is much better with drawings. At least for me. I don't know how it works but i'm trying to get my brother to help me with it. Just send me your e-mail in a note and i'll send ya some 100% Illustrator made pics.

OMG TRACER REPORT DEVIATION BUTTON MASH!
No rly, you already said the lineart is not yours, so there is absolutely not a problem with it, is nice you let everyone know on the author's comments.

As for the coloring, you did good, i like it better this way, with noticeable shading and proper quantity of highlights.
