I wish every male at my school saw this. For some reason, I've only noticed die-hard male Mayan Apocalyptic event believers; there might be a few females though. Sure, it's possible that a natural disaster could occur on Friday; that doesn't necessarily mean that the world will be obliterated due to the end of an ancient calendar! Does every calendar span from the beginning of our universe to the end of time? I don't think so. I'm a guy and I can't wait for this date, this 2012 nonsense has got to come to an end! Well, it comes to an end on Friday

Totally agree. In fact, the real Mayas (People who descended directly from them and preserve their habits and culture) say they know nothing about a "doomsday prophecy". That the Maya weren't engaged to write prophecies, in fact, they predicted climate changes by studying the sky and the environment around them for harvest.
In other words, the "Mayan Prophecy" are just Western BS invented by someone to make money (Hello, 2012 Movie?!!!)

All we know is that on December 31st all the 1987 calendars ended. So either the world ended or something else happened!

Facts regarding the future cannot be true unless they already occur, so it's hard to figure out if it's true or not. That's why we may never know, but they mentioned to us on Yellowstone, it could erupt at anytime as it's already way past its expiry date for an eruption.
