Description Inspired by Samurai Jack and the incredible work of Scott Wills.

The three-eyed exotic alien dancer from the second episode: "The Samurai Called Jack".

I always love the bit where she parts her hair for the first time and you see the third eye as a surprise. The pacing in that scene is great.

Superjail was an extremely limited run that has completed. Chowder is fairly zany but when it runs out of ideas it seems to fall back on the ol' standby of poo-poo jokes, as well for something that is almost always visually interesting they seem to recycle a fair bit of material. Flapjack is full of zaniness and has some great moments but for me lacks a certain complexity that I crave. When you strip away the modern "edgy"ness it really seems like Tom Terrific to me.

All personal opinion of course, I like some truly crappy cartoons as well.

Yeah, even Robot Chicken has lost its edge. I mourn for a society whose youth adore things like Squidbillies. Stupid has replaced Funny, and I'm sorry, but Stupid is just stupid.

Believe me, I share your pain.

We live in a time where the crappy cartoons from the 80s are held up as "fine examples of animation"... just yikes...

Has anybody ever adored Squidbillies?

The people who produce it, apparently. I swear, the programming on AS seems to be that somehow, against all good practices, a couple of idiots fresh out of film school got control over the AS programming, and hired a bunch of their fellow film school dropouts to produce shows.

I think it started to go south when they realized that a lot of their late night audience was stoners and started to aim at an audience that was high enough to laugh at pretty much anything no matter how stupid.

Stupid is no substitute for funny. *sigh*

Season 3, Episode 2? "Jack and the Rave"?

This was inspired by Season 1, Episode 2 (as mentioned in the summary).

Feedback appreciated.

Hmm, I must have forgotten about it. After all, my fandom on Samurai Jack has been left to rust for years. Without new episodes, you get the picture what happens next.

So don't worry, I still have faith, except I won't be remembering many things. The only other thing I remember is Jack as a chicken.
