Did you know that Roll was originally supposed to be the 2nd player character in Mega Man 2 and that there would have been co-op play?Wouldn't that have been awesome?

If they had had enough space on a cartridge, it would have happened. What do you think, what would they have to throw away to accomplish that? I think they could get rid of the most useless Wily stage (idk which one, but maybe you know?)

Co-op would have been nice if they implemented it right.
No collision detection or being able to push but you could pick up each other and throw them and be pulled to where they are being thrown with a rope or something. (Ice Climber's up B move in Smash Bros. but sideways also.)

From a 1999 Inafune interview but I couldn't find the interview in question where he mentions he wanted to make Roll playable in number 2.
