Well two reasons:
1. It's fun
2. I created the original image because *14-bis challenged me to draw six covers.
In fact, if it wasn't for the Playtoon Art Jam I wouldn't have done it at all (I got the inspiration brainstorming cover ideas).
I'm sorry you don't like the jam concept, it's just a bit of deviant fun...

Everyone has their own personal taste. A lot of people on dA like it but if I see one more Naruto picture in the "popular" category on the front page I think I'm going to puke. It's not like I don't like anime but it's freaking everywhere and it gets under my skin.

OMYGAWD I am so with you there. I HATE Naruto! Anime should begin and end with the 3 Dragonball series, Akira, and Steamboy. Everything else is total balls.

I really love 70s/80s stuff like Urusei Yatsura, Lupin Sansei, Gatchaman, Astro Boy and pretty much anything put out by TMS.
There have been a few shows that I've really liked like Last Exile and Gankutsuo but that's about it.
Steamboy was an excellent film, that one I caught in the theatre.

I don't even remember it being in theaters. I just caught it totally by fluke on a movie channel one night. I caught it right on the opening credits and noticed it was made by Katsuhiro Otomo, so I was all like "Dadgum!". You have a point, thoguh, Astro Boy is awesome, in the ultra-crudely-animated Speed Racer fashion.
