Jeromy the Octopus was trying to have a normal day; it was his twenty seventh birthday and he was out with his friends collecting sea mushrooms.It was his first year of study at the AquaSchool of Octopodiatry.
Around 12:00 Jeromy felt a sharp pain in his forehead, and realized he had been snagged by a very unfortunate sailor's hook.
Blind with Octo-rage Jeromy grabbed the sailors ship and shook it like a Polaroid picture.
Suddenly the ship was abducted by Jesus and it rained toothpicks. : )

Haha Yea I was wondering about the detail too and so I showed my dad, he loved it, and that he thinks that the only thing they may do away with would be the rain lines and he couldn't see what else. So I don't think it would change so much. We decided we would find out when we got there. I'm really excited! My mom was already going to get negative on me, but knowing her so well I was able her distract her from it. haha my mom's reaction was
Mom: "Oh wow, but wouldn't you want something smaller for your first tattoo?"
Dad: "It's not that big,this is fine"
Mom: "No, but I just think it would be better if she starts off with something small so she will know how it is and if she's ok with it, later on into the future she could get something like this"
Me: "I've never asked for anything other than this. I never asked to get a labret piercing, or any other piercing. I didn't stay out and party all night..."
Mom: "I know but I still think that a small one first would be best."
Me: "Mom, maybe you should get one with me. Didn't you always want one on your back?"
Mom: "Well I was thinking that while we here there...I wanted something like...!"

Just remember black artwork is hard to cover up, so make sure the artist is good and stoked to apply it.
It also usually helps the artist do a good job if they really like the design, it's not uncommon for tattoo artists to change the artwork a bit so it corresponds more to what works best for the design and so it fits better with their personal artistic style.
Also, the first day you get the tattoo will be the day it looks the best. After that the small details will blur as your skin ages and stretches. So keep that in mind when you look at the design.
I got my first tattoo when I was 18. Its this rather large black design right on my forearm... it was awkward trying to hide it from my parents. They didn't even know about it until three weeks after when they saw me washing the dishes one night with one one my sleeves half rolled up.

Nah it was just a crappy white pen I used out of laziness, I unfortunately crushed the tip, thats why it looks smudgy.
