Heheh yeah...now I HAVE A WACOM!!!
I was planning to mention it on my journal about New year and how I spent my birthday and stuff, but I had to do some tedious work and I didn't have the time to come until now, and I just didn't made a journal entry to mention only this because I thought it would sound like boasting, and I don't want it to sound that way.
so, now I'm here to share with you these drawings cos I'd like to share my excitement with you guys. I got a Christmas/new year gift from a very dear friend of mine, it was incredible that to receive it! ^__^ He packed up the gift with some arti supplies and a wacom and he sent it to Mexico from the U.S., can you believe it? Probably it traveled through all the state And now it's here, and I feel just like the first time I went to the post office to pick it out and opened it in home, I feel like I cannot keep the overwhelming excitement and joy and amazement!!! I feel like I'm going to swoon or die due the overwhelming feeling
It was kind of surreal to see myself drawing with a tablet in these first tries (specially the very first time when I drew the little faikel sketch that has for date January 4) it was like....being over the shoulder of another person who was drawing in it while I was just seeing Specially because I never aspired to have tablet, and less a wacom! I had heard a couple of my artist friends talking about it, and I always wanted to have the chance to paint on one, but I never thought I would ever EVER had the opportunity to use one, so you can imagine why I'm so joyful ^__^ :giggles:
Yet this doesn't take away the fact I'm awful with this new tool As I told to my friend Jame when I made my very first try:
"OOH GOSH! It's very difficult! XD Heheeh this fact was quite impressive, and kind of hilarious to me when I used it for the first time yesterday night, cos well, when you use a tablet for the first time, usually you have the idea on your mind that painting on it will be as easy and accurate than when you take your pencil or other traditional media and draw in paper; But not, actually when you draw in it it feels so weird It feels like you don't have any control of the tool at all, the pointer goes wherever it likes to go, except where you can click or draw, and that drives you crazy"

And yeah, first time using it feels like you don't have control over the strokes you do and the pointer to where you want to but less where you want to paint. Well, that it was like that to me the first two times I tried it. I actually feel better painting with mouse, and that's saying a lot because drawing with a mouse is already difficult Although mouse-drawing is not as much difficult as it was when I started to do it. And now with the tablet, it feels exactly like when I started to draw pictures with my mouse (with no pencil sketch as guide) cos after doing these scribbles I had a hand and wrist and shoulder ache So well...too much text for posting the awful doodles So here are they. My scribbles doesn't look pretty like most of my friends doodles does So I think I post them here mostly cos I need some encouragement on this, please tell me they aren't that bad for the first try

I started scribbling this sheet since January 4 to practice, and the very first sketch was the faikel one with the date in it. I made that one at the night of the day when I went to pick up the package. Today however, I don’t feel using tablet so slippery and rough as it I did the first time I used it, as you can notice for the looking of the drawings with “Jan 07” in the date Actually, it was surprisingly really fun and less forced to do these last sketches specially the vest, oh vests are so fun to draw and look great! Funny thing, I had never drawn a vest until this time Also, it’s the first time I draw Raven and Benson, and Jojo.
So...would you think it would be fun to guess the characters? Well, the others, cos I’ve already said 3 ...if not, I'll put a list below I think. But meanwhile, what about guess the characters? I tried to make a little doddle of each of my friends fave characters, so y’all can have something nice to look at since it’s an special occasion, I consider this being an special sheet.
