Description I spent 4 and a half hours doing this And I finished just now! This is colored pic I made of an sketch of character Ralph, the original sketch it's found here [link] A funny thing about this is that is the very first time I color something that isn't from my friend Jame.
I haven't had time to draw by in several days, because when I finish work I feel sleepy, so I fall asleep and cannot draw But, yesterday I was visiting his gallery and I found that one of the scribbles he had made has a very cute expression and pose of Ralph , so I had this idea of coloring it because I love this character and in part cos I haven't had the chance to draw him myself, but I wanted to do a pic of him since a pretty good time!
When I saw the original sketch, it imagined that maybe it was a sketch of Ralph celebrating new year, so that's what I tried to portray in this colored pic, like if he was in a New year's party or something that's why he wears a sweater instead of his usually clothes, he does have a shirt but you can't see it becuase of the sweater.
I'd like to dedicate this a new year present for my Friend (and for y'all who like my art of course) I really hope he likes it I had much fun doing this coloring I think what I liked most was the sweater and the hair, both body hair and head hair :3 Oh and I used the background I used for other of my drawings because it was a landscape that I think came out very well

Thanks!^^ Heheh I just did the digital coloring cos this was one of his amazing sketches! I gave my everything to color it! And it was so much fun to do! It was such an amazing chance to color his sketch ^^
Oh yeah, the "tail sleeve", I think this idea it's one of the most original and fresh ideas I've seen ^^ Tail sleeve looks cool on him!

Hehe muchas gracias! ^^ Para mi fue muy divertido el hacer esta pintura, y en especial el sueter, pintar con ese pincel mullido fue muy divertido

Oh and yeah I'd love that you can continue with your idea of making a final version of this sketch, because I'm sure you'll make a way much better job in the expression and coloring than I did! I would really love to see your making a final version of this sketch The expression was really sweet and gorgeous, innocent and cute, I really loved it! I loved the pose too because it's very relaxed.
If you notice here, I did a couple of sightly adjust that to my criteria, would make the sketch look better, like the width of the pants and sweater, it's a bit more long sweater. I made this pic with so much love and dedication, like all my art of course, but this I think was more special cos it was my chance to put some color on one of your original sketches, I had a lot of fun coloring this I think this is one of the digital paintings I've been more pleased to do recenlty, and it was a great, great honor to have the opportunity to color an original sketch from you of your amazing and cool character I have to say, at the very first time I thought I was going to mess up ^^ ;...so, It means a lot for me to hear you think I made a good job on coloring your sketch

And I've noticed this a lot more now I could see your pics! So, I'd like to aks, its that true? It's Ralph a portray of yourself?
I'd be really happy if you answer me this little question, I've been very intrigued and curious about this, cos it really feels like that way...well at least to me Plus, if I'm right and Ralph it's a potray of youself, that would be really cool I think

You're too kind. It was kind of surreal to see your version of that Ralph in particular because I guess I forgot I posted that sketchbook page. I knew I liked that sketch but I didn't even think anyone else knew that it existed.

Yeah, Ralph is pretty much some version of myself. When I was younger, I looked a bit more like him... then my face got fuzzier. Ralph's friends are also somewhat based on people I know. They're sort of archetypes of certain traits of people I know kinda mixed together. Eventually I plan to do more with Ralph and friends... and Foof. Can't forget Foof. He turned 30 last year without me even realizing it.
