Guess that! What is the result when you put together a boring homework, a boring job and some days of not having internet?...Well, a brand new digital drawing! Yeah that’s right, that’s what happened this past week, cos in the office where I work the internet was off since last week for non-payment. At those days I did my work normally since I was many many manual things like organizing invoices and archiving files, but when it came the time to make some statements online and I couldn’t send them, I started doing a pending project for college but I couldn’t search anything for the same reason, so I got bored But the good thing is that in the computer on which I usually do my homework I have the portable version of Photoshop, so I used it to make this drawing!
This is the colored version of [link] and I made this for the same reasons I wrote in the original sketch, cos I think it would be great if Wilt were in Baloo’s show instead of him! And I believe he would fit in the role! I wanted to paint this since some time ago, and now I finished it on Friday last week, but I didn’t posted it before because I was helping my dad with some work. I think this is one of the drawings that took me less time; I made it in…like 2 days! Well, indeed maybe just counting the hours, because I drew it always in the afternoon little by little, in the time I use to do my homework I always draw or paint like that cos it’s the only way to finished my homework and make something digital, also well, in a great part it’s because my dad doesn’t like my work because he say it’s useless and he has the opinion the computer has to be only to school use So just like this I can draw and paint, I actually can’t sit down in the computer exclusively to draw something so usually the idea of how to paint something occurs by chance when I’m doing some other thing!
It was kind of funny luck the fact we had no internet at that week, because although I couldn’t do some of my work, I was so glad cos I enjoyed a really wonderful and rare moment in which I was sitting on the computer painting, without the pressure of having to do any other thing! Oh boy! I really enjoyed doing this one so much! cos I took my time to try on new textured brushes and much colors until it came out like I wanted it to be. It was such a wonderful moment! I think this drawing was relatively easy cos I was having much fun with it, and I loved a lot the final result, it has the style I created on the original one but this is way better I loved a lot the texture in the scarf, and the yellow background that bright out the other colors, the stars in the center of drawing were an idea I had almost at the end, but I think it was a great idea and looks cool! but what I loved most was the expression, it makes him look very cool and confident!
I used some of the brushes I used in my first Rayman pic, my dear friend Jame gave me some of them, and everythime I use these brushes I remember her!..Well I do it all the time! You know, the not so good thing about this pic it’s that I wanted to do it bigger, but I forgot to change the size to the sketch before painting it, and then I tried to do it but the photo looked a bit blurry and the texture was all lost. So this is quite small, but it kinda works as wallpaper if you have a computer with an 800x600 screen
Oh almost forgot it, I also was trying do make non-invasive watermarks or signs, I mean, the ones that don’t make pics look ugly. I hate when watermarks are very big and are placing over the whole drawing or painting, because it ruins the drawings! so I was practicing to write something in a subtle way, in case I have to use it in the future, this time is the link to my gallery.
