This one drawing, I made it specially for when the “guess what species is Pierre” contest would finish to let people know what species it was. But also I made it because I wanted to portray the beauty and the wonder of these amazing animals! I think they’re really cool and awesome for a lot of reasons, and people understimate them a lot. So I present you the magnificent, incredible and wonderful Enteroctopus Dofleini!!! Here he's fishing with his little tentacles ^^

They are enigmatic, mysterious, their movements are so elegant and graceful. ^^ And they have a lot of cool features in their body and mind’s desging.
These animals have one of the most complex nervious system in the whole world! And a skin that can cammuflage and change of texture like magic! No other animal on earth can do that.

Plus they are very intelligent and scientist have been realized they’re very sociable and they have cognitive habilities that are sign of higher intelligence like using tools, preventing things with anticipation (they clean the entrances of their dens so the divers don’t find them) planning (like in some several octopus scapes) and that they recognize indiviual humans and can get fond with them. It’s been discovered recently that have the sociable habilities that before were considered only a privilege of humans and some apes, and I agree if they didn’t have such short lifespan they would have been an species that would evolve like us, like the author of this article steemit.com/science/@natord/oc… explains. I loved it and I recommend you to read it because it explains fascinating facts about the octopus way better than I would do. I hope with this pic I have managed to portrait at least a bit of the splendor that these animals have!
