Exposure just refers to the length of time the 'film' is exposed to light in order to form an image. It's expressed as a fraction of a second, like 1/20th of a second, for instance or 20/1 which would mean 20 seconds. The longer the exposure is, the more movement shows up as a blur. You can even take a shot with such a long exposure that anything that moves doesn't even show up in the image, so that for instance, what is a crowded street in reality shows up as an empty street in the final image.Β Β

No I don't. I know how to do them but I never have. Someday I probably will though. Some other factors come into play when doing a shot like that. Ideally I would have a specially filter that would prevent overexposure. Basically, a black piece of glass. You would also want to use a tripod and a remote release.
