Today’s challenge is…“Oh sweet Celestia we killed Twilight!”
Let that sink in for a second.
You know for a minute at least some of those poniies thought they just murdered their good friend Twilight. That’s a black scorch mark. It doesn’t speak of something nice normally and I think you can also see what I mean in their faces.
So what you’re to draw is what happened in that window between Twilight’s ‘death’ and return. Or you could go more ‘what if that actually happened’ if you would like. Whichever inspires you darlings~

So... I thought, what if they did the askh-ente rite (summon death, and ask things if needed) from Terry pratchett's Discworld?
This was happened in Colour of Magic, when the wizards summoned Death, and he was at a masquerade party. At the end of the discussion:
Galder: I said I hope it is a good party.
AT THE MOMENT IT IS. I THINK IT MIGHT GO DOWNHILL VERY QUICKLY AT MIDNIGHT. Galder: Why?
THAT'S WHEN THEY THINK I'LL BE TAKING MY MASK OFF.

And I guess Fluttershy got Mr. Mousey and his family to donate the blood for the rite.
That said, well done! I love when FiM/Discworld crossovers get done right, and this is one of those cases. Love the detail on... well, everything here, there's just enough and it looks good. Nice folds of the robe, nice manes on the ponies, and you even managed extra fuzz on their coats! Well done!

The minimum requirement for the rite are half a candle and 30cc of mouse blood :3 least that's as much as I remember.

It cuts to black so nicely that it fits as the BEST ENDING of the third season.

Hmm..Well it could go 2 ways. Either she died & was revived as an Alicorn, or she was teleported to another realm where she was turned into an Alicorn. The scorch marks being the result of the teleport magic as that happens for some reason with certain teleporting spells or something.

I wonder if Twilight DID die for a few minutes, but was reserected as an alicorn. That might explain that place she went to and all those scenes from her life around her.

They did look horrified that they may of accidently killed Twi. You could just tell they were thinking "Oh Crap..."
