Lol. That reminds me of that scene in Hellboy: the Golden Army when Liz has to tell him she is pregnant to give him a reason the live.

Oh yes. Abe told her first, sensing the energy of new life in Liz's womb before she'd even taken those five pregnancy tests. Of course, I was more a fan of seeing Abe and Nuala's relationship, brief as it was, develop over the course of Golden Army. Ah, Celtic folklore at the roots and not too many special effects... I miss action movies that didn't rely on CGI to create their monsters and characters.

I know. I hated that Nuala had to die because of her brother. I cried the first time I saw that scene. ABE NEEDED HAPPINESS!
But I totally agree. Too many movies any more use CGI and it doesn't look right for simple things. And because of it, they don't use nearly enough subtlety as they use to, like the first Alien. That was terrifying because you didn't see the Xenomorph a lot. Now they don't really hide it because CGI.
