A tribal child, Dyce was born to unknown parents in the southern Oregon wastes. Many years ago, on a trip to explore Arizona, she found herself lost and separated from her parents... Only to find herself in the company of several strange men in armor, guiding her towards one of their camps.
"We'll keep you safe until we can find your parents."
They never did find her parents, and instead she chose to learn how to fight alongside them; even acquiring the fascination of their leader, an enigmatic man she hadn't yet met... until he called her into his tent one day seven years later, in the days following the First Battle. They spoke highly of one another, and now Dyce carries out orders from the man personally, despite wearing her old lower-ranking armor.
Better to not concern the others, she wagers. A prodigy's work is never done - especially a prodigy that can scavenge what she needs to survive.
