As it grows

I have been taught something, many things actually. I have learned that the spark never truly dies, that it only changes. It grows to an ember, a glowing flame that remains warm and gives light to the life of those around it. You learn to appreciate it more as time goes on, you learn that no matter what may happen, this flame will keep you warm at night. You learn that though it may require more work than you could have imagined, it is all worth it. All of the pain, the cold and the strife, all of it was worth the endurance used to make you the person you are, the person that was just right to make this flame grow and endure the elements. This is what it is, this glow, this warmth. It is love.
