EDIT (12-23-2015): Well, I'm sure most of you know by now that the winner of the Smash Ballot was actually Bayonetta. She may not be Krystal, but I'm still really excited to try her out. Heck, I'm just glad that we got another female character in Smash. Perhaps next time for Krystal. Also, I heard a rumor that the director for Star Fox Zero said he'd love to put her in the next game, as long as Zero does well enough to get a sequel.EDIT (4-20-2015): Wow! I'm really impressed with the response this pic has generated! Thank you so much everyone! And keep on supporting Krystal!
This took a little longer than expected. Hope it's not too late! ^^ I had some fun giving her a new outfit that incorporated some of the lines from her Assault suit.
For those who don't know, Nintendo recently announced a Lucas as the second DLC character for Super Smash Bros. And immediately after that announcement, they showed us the Smash Ballot! The Smash Ballot allows you to pick ANY video game character and tell Nintendo and Sakurai's team why they should be created as DLC for the game. Here's a link to the Smash Ballot itself.

With a new game on the horizon, it's time for the Star Fox team to get a new member in Smash Bros! So for all you fans of the blue vixen, now is your chance to get her into the game as something more than just a trophy! If you do vote for her, I'd say focus on her unusual weapon, telepathy, and that Smash could always use another female character, especially another that is not a human. She also could be the first female with a ground quake style attack too!
As for the rest of you voting...I'm just excited to see that fans around the world have a chance to directly tell the developers who we want. It's a very exciting time to be a Smash Bros fan. So get out there and do your duty! Vote for your favorite character to get in!

I think she needs three alt if she gets in smash 4, tell me what you think of thoose,
a "standard" smashbros starfox outfit, like this one,
an alt where she don't have the vest, holster, gloves and a hat or something, (like a passific mission uniform (like whene the military get poeple out of batiment debris in sinistred area and all)),
an alt being a mix betwin her first outfit from starfox adventure and her dinosaur planet art work outfit, dinosaur planet artwork fur patern and eye color.

Awesome work. Because of Starfox Wii U coming out this year her chances to be DLC playable in Smash 4 as a newcomer is really good especially since Brawl, she has been the most requested and popular choice like K. Rool from both the Westerners and Japanese audiences which is really good. She deserves it after a long time coming and the Starfox series is finally getting the love it needs when SF Wii U is revealed at E3 2015 in June. Can't wait to hear more on it.

Thanks! And I hope so too! We really need more females in the game to help balance out the roster. It's been nearly 10 years since we've had a Starfox game, so we're long overdue. I do worry that it might be a reboot of the series, which could axe her. But I'm hoping they pick it up after Assault.

Do you honestly think that Nintendo would kill her off from the series like that? Miyamoto and everyone else at Nintendo are aware of the fanbase on Krystal that both the American and Japanese audiences do like her and Miyamoto and everyone at Nintendo knows that. If they wanted to kill her off, they would have done it after Adventures and we wouldn't have seen her in any future entries after it including as a trophy and in the codecs in Smash. But they haven't and I don't think it will happen. And another thing, why reboot the Starfox series again when they already did that in Starfox 64. People are being paranoid that she didn't appear in the codecs in the Orbital Gate Assault in Smash 4 just because of that. That doesn't mean anything at all and guess what? Krystal isn't the only one who didn't appear in the codecs from that stage in Smash 4. Wolf wasn't there either. So in conclusion, I doubt they would kill off both Krystal and Wolf from the series like that especially since they are popular among the Starfox fanbase. Do you realize how much of an outrage it would be if that would have been the case? It would have been disastrous. Once a character has established themselves in the series like that ose two, for instance, they are there to stay no matter what happens.

This is a very late reply, so I'm going to keep it short.
I never said she wasn't popular. If I believed that she didn't have a chance of returning in a future Star Fox game, I would not have drawn this image for her for the ballot. But you have to remember that a Star Fox game hasn't been released for 10 years. When a series seems to disappear after all that time (F-Zero as well), you may start to doubt things. I haven't looked up any info in a while, but Zero looks like it could be either a reboot because Andross appears to be alive still. Or it takes place before Star Fox/64. However, I heard something specifically mentioned about Krystal. The director for Star Fox Zero has stated that he would love to put Krystal in the next game, should Zero perform well. You are correct in saying that she isn't gone. But it's still a shame that she hasn't graced the stage of Smash yet.

From what I know, Zero is pretty much a reimagining of SF64 like how Metroid Zero Mission was a reimagining of the first Metroid game. As for Zero, I think that it'll do fine in sales. I mean come on, it is Starfox and it has its own fanbase. We didn't wait for nearly a decade just so that this game can be bad.

That makes sense. I like the idea of being able to transform your vehicles into secondary modes.
And on top of that, it's a Nintendo game. It's pretty rare for their games to be bad.

Of course and I approve of that idea since that adds a new level of depth to the gameplay. As for being a Nintendo game, I agree which is why they take their time to make it the best and enjoyable as possible and SF Zero will be no exception.

Indeed. I'm so glad they brought that back from Star Fox 2. It'll really make this game stand out next to the other entries. And I think you're right about that. Unfortunately, we have to wait until April for it.

Yeah but you know what, it'll be worth the wait. As for Krystal, even though she didn't make the cut for Smash 4, my resolve and support for her will be even stronger than before and sooner or later, she's going to be more popular than people will think for her to appear in future Starfox entries and in future Smash games and the same goes for Wolf. I'm not giving up at all. I don't care if it takes a few years more for instance to finally get Wolf and Krystal into Smash. What do you think?

It would certainly be nice to have more Star Fox characters in Smash. Fire Emblem exploded with a total of six, so if Star Fox Zero does well and the series comes back from the dead, we could see one or two more characters added in.
So, I think it can happen. The biggest problem was that the series took 10 years off. But, that does create the opportunity for a whole new generation of Star Fox fans to appear. I just hope that they take the time to give Krystal more personality and interact with the other team members more often. It seemed like Fox and Panther were the only ones she really talked with. Imagine a conversation between her and Slippy. They could talk about her staff, the technology involved with it, and differences between Cornerian and Cerinian tech.

Agreed. With the SF series becoming relevant again. For the next Smash game, there should be no reason to not have some more reps for the SF series besides Fox and Falco. But like you said, with the release of their next game, it will introduce it to a whole new generation of fans to join alongside with us fans. Indeed. I could see Fox and Krystal being starters, and Falco and Wolf could be secret. What would be a shock is if they added someone completely different from SF into Smash, as in a new character introduced in the newest Star Fox games.
And yes, I did see that. I already favorited the version with a background. It's a really neat little design. I prefer the jacket myself, but it still looks really good.

Yeah. You know, Fox and Krystal could start off as the starters for the new roster for Smash 5. Think about it. Every Smash game, they have to open up space for newcomers and this is a perfect opportunity for her.

Nobody cares about Corrin. Even Sakurai admitted that there are too many Fire Emblem characters in the roster. I wouldn't be surprised if Corrin along with Robin and Lucina end up getting cut for the next Smash game on the NX.

Highly doubt it, Corrin and Robin are too unique, Lucina... Eh she can be Luigified and you DO know there are other ways of solving the problem without cutting characters right? Just add more characters from the other series. And people do care about Corrin there's other countries that have Smash too and Fates got introduced to us months ago as the "unnamed FE game" in like a direct or two but people were only caring about Smash. Also Smash for the NX was never confirmed and if it was confirmed it would most likely only be a port with nothing new.

And word is that there's going to be a new Smash Bros as a launch title for the NX. I have no idea if it's true or not. But I do know that Sakurai is working on a new project. But back to back Smash Bros titles is a ton of work.
