Ah, the werehog. Easily the most underrated and least liked form that Sonic has ever taken. And one of my favorites.
I love the feeling of power that you get when you play as him. The bottom sketch has a fun story around it. In the 360 and PS3 version of Unleashed, Sonic can pick up these weird enemies that are a combo of a fan and a hot plate and he can use them like a flamethrower! I so enjoy burning my foes. It's magical the way they run around screaming, their health draining all the while, and how they can't attack at all while on fire. It's a wonderful sight.
I know a lot of people don't like the werehog, but if all you want to say is that you don't like him then please, go somewhere else to say it. I don't care to hear it. I hear it enough as it is.

It depends. Some things don't take long, other pictures take forever. Motivation is the key.

Aww, I love the werehog-Sonic. I hope he comes back in another game. I didn't know about that flamethrower thing in the other versions; I only have the wii version. I like it best though, the fact that you have to flail your arms wildly to attack makes it so... awesome! Poor Sonic, so underrated in this game... Cool sketches btw.

Sounds good! But here's the problem: how will he get his werehog powers back and how can he use them? My guess is that Dark Gaia didn't take all of his powers and he can regain his form using at least one Chaos Emerald.

I don't really dislike him, I just prefer to play normal Sonic than him. If I am playing werehog, I have to think I am playing some other game, not a Sonic game.

Yeah, that's how most people seem to feel about him. I enjoyed the change of pace though.

He's getting up there in popularity as some people are tending to warm up to him; some are too stubborn to accept variety and always want classic. (Stupid unsupported fans. *rolls eyes*)
I even dislike how they bash him since he's able to elastic his arms, do more exploration. Even if that has always been an Sonic gimmick for a very long time. They just want speed, point A to point B, or have the werehog be replaced by Knuckles. *smacks head.*
I mean, I'm okay with Knux. Just how he is now, I would've of gotten bored quickly. Plus seeing Sonic take up the strength role was pretty refreshing.
God, so much ranting I heard, it's hard to say all of what people complain about him. Some of it gets down right DUR. Gees people, do research, or just stop bitchin' about it, and allow others to enjoy what they like.
Anyway, love the drawings! Only some minion detail problems that I notice is the shoes. Little small, don't ya think? Don't be afraid to beef them up. Well, NOT overly big, but a decent size. I could tell you were trying to mimic the model style, rather then the line art. Which is better for artist to learn the proper anatomy.
As for the neck (someone I told last time got smart ass with me, and told Sonic has no neck. >__>; But Sonic CD cutscene showed a glimpse of it. So ha, he really does have one.) try thickening it up along his shoulder line. For his type of environment, he needs the extra hand of his neck and back muscles in order to pull himself up, or swing, etc.
Last but not least...Shorten his legs. Remember it's his arms that really make him for what he is. When he runs, he manages to transform his body to adapt to four legs.

Kinda an example. I use to make this fault a lot when I drew him, now I make a habit of remembering his body is this upside down triangle with small legs supporting the frame.

I'm glad that there are people out there that do enjoy our hairy and toothy friend.
Yeah, I was definitely looking off of the models when I made this. I tend to try to draw Sonic characters that way anyway. The 3D models are more accurate after all. That, and the werehog has those beautifully cartoony expressions in the cutscenes. I tried to mirror that.
Wow. Someone's critiquing me, that's very rare for some reason. Thanks for the advice. If I do draw the werehog again, I'll keep that stuff in mind.
As far as his shoes go, I drew him right in the corner of the page so I had to make his shoes a little smaller so nothing would get cut off.
