fencing is done with swords. specifically european high society type swords and even more specifically ones such as rapiers, foils and the occasional saber.

by 'fist fencing' here its referring to the old style boxing where its less focus on technique to produce power but more to cause multiple small wounds and wear them down, coupled with fatigue

oh i get it. usually i just hear it called bare knuckle boxing. fist fencing is a term i have not heard before. thank you for teaching me something today.
