In my own story, the Decepticon logo came to be as a last resort, to prove to the senate that they were a group that could not be ignored, demonstrating their numbers by rallying across the mutliple capitols of Cybertron, each wearing a mask like it. Hence the quote next to the drawing. After that cycle, the mask became their symbol, and supporters wore it, shifting the Autobot symbols they're all born with, during the every day. This would be the beginning of the end of peace on Cybertron. Megatron directly drew a line in the sand, and those who opposed his movement were forced on the other side of it. I want to write and draw out an actual storyline for this, but I'm still developing my skills to do so.
