Personality: He's the type to offer to show you around a new place, get you both lost, and then mysteriously disappear, leaving you to wander the halls alone until you find another person to point you in the right direction. When you find him later, he will either innocently insist that you got separated and he found his way back on his own, or confidently admit to abandoning you, depending on his mood and whether or not he's with his brother.
He's a nice guy, really, he just likes giving off a dicky first impression. If you decide to approach him again, he's really quite pleasant. He'll buy you a drink if you're that pissed off.

Likes: Coffee (it's the only thing that gets him up in the morning), pixie sticks, sleep, playing tricks on people with his brother, city lights at night, being in high places where he can see the city lights at night, his familiar

History:
His parents divorced when he and his brother were eleven. Cairo and Kite stayed with their mother, living out their lives as a small but happy family. Cairo, however, had been having nightmares about the divorce. This was normal, he figured. But when those dreams suddenly included images of a dead family and bloodstained walls, he began to lose sleep. Soon he began to see shapes out of the corners of his eyes; little hands reaching out from the shadows, a strange, wolf-like creature the size of a small car, and bits of shadow that floated in front of his eyes, as small as dust and just as annoying. He was walking home alone from school (Kite had detention that day) when he felt a sharp pain down his back and collapsed forwards. Suddenly the bits of shadow in front of his eyes materialized into strange black buglike creatures; at the same time, he could feel something wet--blood, he presumed--seep through his clothing and spilling onto the asphalt. He maintained consciousness long enough to see an enormous white wolf with black horns open its mouth and eat another strange creature with enormous claws and a bird's beak.

I am going to skip ahead now because I feel like this is dragging on too long.
Basically he received his masho from a Kirisake (a demon that latches onto a human and causes nightmares) and the baku (named Ginko) that came along and ate it became his familiar (there was a whole emotional/logical conversation where Cairo persuaded Ginko to stick around, but I'm currently too tired to write it out and this history is long enough as it is). Cairo's mother sent Cairo and Kite to the Exorcists once she realized that her sons could see demons. There, he went on many dangerous missions and earned the right of leader of the Tamers.

He later died fighting a Tegeaj demon (a snow-scorpion type demon) and was left there to feed the wildlife.

Additional Info:
Ginko is Cairo's familiar by choice, and therefore has no magic circle to be summoned from.
While Ginko's true size is that of a small car, which allows Cairo to ride on him in battle when needed, he generally stays at the size seen above for practical purposes.
Cairo's summoned familiars for use in battle are usually two shishi, though as mentioned before he can summon more if necessary.
Cairo's gloves have metal plates engraved with magic circles on them for ease of access; he dispels the familiars by striking the plates together.
The summoning phrase for his shishi is "Guardians of the sanctuaries of the weak, rise from your posts and bestow upon me your divine protection."
