Because they're shallow idiots who either want the guys for themselves or want them to fuck each other. At least in my experience. I've never met any Haruhi hater who had a reason beyond that.

It's completely ridiculous, none of the guys are real and you can have a yaoi pairing without bashing any of the existing females. It's like with Sonic the Hedgehog fans who hate Princess Sally because they ship Sonic and Amy, it's stupid.
