Well, I'm wrapping up my RISD application this week - yayyy
I did these self portraits the other day for one of the sides of the 2 sided graphite drawing requirement... question... what should I do on the other side XD ?

You don't need school, actually. You just need paying work! School is fun, anyway, and a great experience in itself. Just don't let your school think you need them....they need YOU. For them it's all about the Benjamins! The quality of your portfolio is a thousand times more important than having a degree of any sort. Alan Lee started working in comics at 17 and he has opened his own school for students. Jason Scott Campbell only finished half his graphic design school program before Jim Lee hired him to pencil Gen 13.....one of my favorite comics ever. Frank Frazetta was classically trained by an Italian master painter but never went to college as far as I know.
I suppose it's more important to know WHAT you want to do so your focus is set. Once your focus is set....persistence is everything.
