I like how you make Ahadi a nice father, a lot of people make him a pretty mean lion who just prefers Muffy, but this is a nice change

I agree. The only other nice Ahadis I know of aside from this version are albinoraven's Ahadi and Savu's alternate Ahadi from a different story, not his canon Ahadi who chooses the rules over his son.

My Ahadi is also a good dad, unfortunately he dies because of his selfish cold hearted mateΒ
Uru, when she learns of his plans to have both Mufasa and Taka rule together she finds a way to rid herself of him before anyone else can indeed out so her precious Mufasa can be king while that worthless pile of flesh would stay in its placeΒ
I decided to make Uru the reason Taka is evil, she's also relatives with Zira's mother in my head cannonΒ

I enjoy the alternative versions a lot more - Common themes are far too mainstream to keep interesting sometimes. In Taka's case, demonising Ahadi for either not being around for him, prioritising the rules of the kingdom and/or idolising the elder son are fairly easy reasons to make people see why Taka became Scar. Making Ahadi a good father makes the story that bit deeper and more mysterious, it's interesting
