Kakuzu tries to hide the stitches on his mouth from the old woman, because he doesn't want to scare her.
Kakuzu's desire to meet Hidan is very childlike and innocent. Let me explain:
A girl playing with Barbie's on the playground, might notice another girl playing with Barbie's a few yards away.
Thought: "Hey, she likes barbies too! I'll talk to her."
Same thing with little boys.
Boy plays with truck. Sees other boy play with truck.
"Hey? do you like trucks too?"
Children try to locate something in common in the other children they talk too. And usually, When they find that person, and talk to them for a few seconds, they usually end up being best friends for life. (that's actually how I meet my best friend)
Our common interest was "Girl Scouts"
Kakuzu wants someone to relate too.
I wanted to add more to the last pannel, but I got lazy.

love kuzu's face X3. i grew up with boys for most of my life. tried to make friends with a girl only to end up with a false lession. "girls are evil!" i learned later that was wrong just ending up with the bad type of girl.XD
