Damn. Harsh. I know that what the kids said weren't as mean as when those two teenage boys did to him, but Kakuzu has really low-self-esteam as a kid and they just made it worse.

And Kakuzu bumps into Hidan, without realizing it. And Hidan, aparently doesn't remember seeing Kakuzu before... but he saw him crying. Hidan isn't empathetic, he's just curious.

BTW: If anyone wants to know, the REAL price of what the middle aged man gave Kakuzu was about 350 yen. In American Money... I think that comes around to about almost 3 dollars and 50 cents...

I ADORE pannels 3 and 13 It establishes Kakuzu well, as a really shy little kid.

I like the girl. Little girls are usually mean without trying to be. She just says what she thinks, doesn't mean anything by it. She wasn't trying to be mean, But I think the boy was just being protective of his younger sister.

AND.............. O_o Why does my random boy look like Sai? =_= SAI! YOUR NOT IN THIS STORY! GET OUT OF MY MIND!
I seriously didn't draw him to look like that.... but... meh... I need to find new hairstyles for my chars.... *looks at old mangas for ideas*
