Excuse me, I just gotten Minecraft for PC and I've been wondering? How in the hell do I add mods and texture packs, I looked through youtube, did the whole %appdata% and running files, copied the 1.7.9 file, renamed the files, and so on but for some reason I cant drag the available resource pack table, and the mods aren't showing? Please help me.

For texture packs you just have to put the .zip file in the texture pack folder of minecraft.
For mods you should go to the topic relative to it since every mod can have a different installation procedure.

Darn, well I figured out the texture pack which I use the DBCraft x64 texture pack, the only problem I'm having now is the Weapons Mod you know the mod that adds in a battleaxe, spears, a cannon and all that. I got the mod in my game but the textures are not as matching as to my DBCraft x64 Texture Pack. I know there's a patch but there's two problems. One: I don't know where to get the patch. Two: I don't know how to add a texture patch to a mod?

I don't think it is technically possible to do it without hardly modifying the game engine. But a high res texture pack is possible. I don't have done one yet but if I did it'lle be not until notch clears the modding capacity of the game.
