Not that much, it gose very fast when you're building such a big castle.

yea...NO IT DOESN'T. Holy crap my castle is huge, and it is taking forever...I am not even done with the surrounding stuff! And after I am done with this surrounding stuff and the main castle I have to create boxes coming off of it! And then swirling spires coming off of the castle!
...It's going to be awesome when done.

i hope so, because i've been building one of my own on a intresting little island i found, its made of two cliffs seprated by a lake inside the island, and i thought i'd be a perfect spot for a castle.
unfortunetly, i've gone through some 5000 blocks or cobblestone already and i've only covered about a third of it.
oh well. . good job. it looks like a great work of art.

That's a lot of work with photoshop too ^^ The process is basically the same.

so you use the original as a rough draft and go from there with textures and lighting?

I take a screenshot, then I search the web for textures and photo to build the picture, mixe all of this and add lights, shadows and color effects and that's it !
