Church from Red vs Blue, no doubt spying on the dirty Reds. ^_~I used a screenshot and painted over it for certain parts (the angle on the rifle and the background parts of Blue Base mostly). Stupid MJOLNIR armor is still being stupid...
But yeah, Church's helmet hair still amuses me to no end. ^_~

Lopez. ^_^ Lopez killed Sister. See, I love that he killed Lopez and Donut. Because its perfectly in character for him. He's ruthlessly devoted to whatever his mission is. He's efficient and unstoppable. ^_^ I love that about him.

Well, I can't take the credit for the depth perception since I pretty much just took the pose and everything directly from a screenshot of RvB.
Yeah, its weird, Church is one of the few characters that pretty much everyone pictures roughly the same way. As opposed to characters like Simmons...I can't even picture him consistently in MY head, let alone try and get a working image of him that other people picture too. ^_~

but i think most everyone has sarge figured out. and tucker. and most pics of caboose and donut are blond guys with cute expressions.and iv'e only ever seen one or so pics of O'Mally, Wash,and Vic (though i suppose they aren't considered as close to main characters as everyone else, huh?) and iv'e seen more fanart of Andy the bomb than Sister. But i have faith in the fanbase, we'll all settle on some thing eventually...^_*

Yeah, I think its kinda more fun to have different versions. Its nice to see what everyone gets out of the series, what parts of each character are strong enough to influence their decisions on what they look like.
Ironically, I find Tucker one of the most variously drawn characters. Not only do we have the normal things, like difference hair styles and body types, but he's the only character that people draw with completely different skin colors depending on how they see him. Although I think I'm one of the few fanartists that likes giving Grif and Sis Hawaiian skin tones. ^_~
Yup, I really hope the fandom keeps it up and even starts drawing more. ^_^

I think they draw tucker like that because in one episode (about the time Andy came in) they vaguely suggested he was black, which i like because that influenced everyones idea of what he looked like and also the fanart, which in my opinion adds a little variety, like your interpretation of Grif and Sis being Hawaiian, and it adds to the effect that they really were just a bunch of random people sent to blood gulch with absolutely nothing in common at all. ^^

Yup. ^_^ I mean, logically the chance of all of them being caucasian is very small. I like the idea of Tucker as black, and I'm kinda bummed that I'm not creative enough to draw any of the others as various ethnicities. But yeah, the Hawaiian siblings make total sense to me, and I find them soooo much more fun to draw that way. ^_~

agreed! i can say that drawing with different race and culture thrown in is hella fun, unfortunately, my style changes like the weather...
But i like the idea of the siblings being Hawaiian, mostly cuz i cant think of anything else that might fit...nor do i know much about looks based on ethnicity. I'm a mutt myself, so all the people from Europe look the same to me, and i couldn't tell a Chinamen from a jap to save my life.^.~ but its fun to mix it up, thats America for you, we got everything! used, new, black, white, and every color in between.

There's a lot of fascinating things you can find out about race and ethnicity. I found out that people of Indo-European descent (most caucasians) usually have all four wisdom teeth grow in and end up compacted. Whereas people of Asian or African descent have a better chance of having only two or no wisdom teeth at all grow in. Of course its not a 100% kind of thing, but its still nifty. ^_^

I always thought that people are the way they are because of the landscape their ancestors had to adapt to when they were around. like people with darker skin come from hotter places, and paler people came from present-day Russia and Europe which is a lot colder. they look the way they do because they adapted to their home lands. ^^
