Description
Simba as he appears in the Disney movie and as he looks in the Broadway play version. Drew this a few days before I took my mom to see the play version. ^_^ She loved it.Anyway, the face on Simba (Disney version) is totally copied. Like, traced from a screenshot. Parts of his mane, and his total body are all freehanded by me. Same thing for Broadway Simba, who I just looked at references to try and get the costume right.
I hate tracing. I despise it. The only reason I did that for Simba's face here is because I was on a time limit, and had to finish this picture by a certain time. So you can see how very copied that part of the picture is, here's a link to the screenshot. [link]
On the plus side, yay for starry backgrounds. ^_~

Brilliant! I have the Broadway soundtrack to The Lion King, but, as much as I'd like to, I'm too poor to actually go to Broadway! Anyway, this really is a wonderful picture. Good job!

I saw TLKoB a few years ago. I loved it! It was the first (and, so far, only) show on broadway I've ever seen! This picture is very well done!
Just for the record, I have a plush based on the adult Simba costume!

Hehe, they were selling those plushes at the show we just went to, but I didn't get one. I'm wishing now that I had. ^_^ Glad you liked the pic though!
