Inspired by the newest debut trailer of Lightning Returns :FFXIII [link] !I can't say if I really like her outfit too much this time around, though it really suits her and it's starting to grow on me as I get to see some of the in-game look. I suppose the full frontal view with the stiff pose in the magazine just looked a little awkward. The new screenshots are looking really nice though ~Although she looks like a miniature white behemoth, I'm pretty excited for this now.
Just a speedpaint this time around because I need to get back to my SS gift but needed a break from linearting.
I think i got my crazy colors under control...

I wasn't really excited when it was first announced, but now that I've seen the trailer I'm looking forward to seeing more. I like this outfit more than XIII-2's because it's more close to her original outfit with the colour scheme and those sunnies. I also just really want to see how the plot pans out and how they're going to finish it. The scenery and graphics also look like they're going to be amazing.

Great art! And yes, i'm very excited for LRFFXIII! Because i know that once its done, the XIII series will be over, and the face of SE's mismanagement of the franchise this generation will finally be behind us.
Of course we still won't have Versus, or Type Zero localized, or Bravely Default, or Kingdom hearts HD, or KH3 for that matter. But atleast i won't have to see Lightning's face again.

Yeah, I'm still a bit disappointed about Versus and Type-0, but since I only own an Xbox, more Lightning means more games for me, because most likely after this, there's not going to be any more xbox releases.

OMG THIS IS AMAZING!!
I'm not too sure whether to be excited or not :S
1) I have a feeling there's either going to be a load of plotholes regarding characters in the end, or they will do a FFXIII-2 and give them 30 seconds screen time to say their hellos and goodbyes forever.
And I have no idea what they're gonna do about Serah and Mog.
2) They've hardly confirmed any characters so far, and they brought back Chocolina. She is seriously gonna annoy the crap outta me.
3) Lightning's new outfit looks like a cross between Assassins Creed, Serah's Mass Effect DC Costume, and Snow's FF13 coat. It kinda looks ridiculous but I agree I'm growing on it.
4) There just seems to be so much change between each game. All 3 FFXIII games could easily be made into their own FF games. The first one was all about L'Cies and False Gods. The second was all about time travelling to save the past and future. Now it's all about clocks, time and armageddon. I wish they would just focus on one main theme for a game. Whilst I loved FFXIII-2, it's now kinda getting stupid.

Yeah...I'm kind of wondering how its even going to work as a FF this time around, since you're a 1-man party (as of now, unless square keep pulling random twists out of their butts) Also I like calling her outfit a miniature white behemoth. Doesn't she look like one, with those four flying capes? The render view of her outfit I must say looks kind of awkward, but it looks pretty good in gameplay.
I really agree with the change! At first they even had Type-0, or should i say Agito, under the FFXIII hood because of it's world about l'cies and fal'cies, but they removed it from the name because it still wasn't similar enough to the other two. They did say they wanted something completely different this time around, but the three stories just seem too far apart to compare. The time travelling concept was executed well, but time travel is an idea that can be worked into almost anything at the end, so it didn't seem like something that was planned with the original FFXIII. But as for LR, I'm not quite sure when it's idea came about. Maybe it's too early to tell.

Oh god that's what I hate the most!!! It's going to be so difficult to play as a one man party if you still have the different roles and stagger gauges!! Like you can't attack as a commando to stop it draining and heal at the same time!! And status ailments will be a bitch!! GGGRRRRRR BRING BACK TEAM PARTYS IT'S MORE FUN AND LESS DYINGNESS!! To be honest it sounds like this is going to be like Kingdom Hearts -.-' Nothing against Kingdom Hearts but they should have kept it the same. If you keep the battle system the same for two games then keep it the same for the last one.
And yes she does actually look like a White Behemoth now that you mention it XD And yeah I don't know what it is. I think it looks a bit too big on her in the thing I dunno something just doesn't look right. And yeah looks fine in gameplay XD
I knows but Agito just comes under the Fabula Nova Crystallis series rather than Final Fantasy XIII.
I do agree that it was worked in well but you didn't see enough of the original characters from the game. Vanille and Fang got 1 minute screen time in the WHOLE game which I thought was ridiculous. Sazh got about the same unless you bought his DLC. Snow was just pointless to be honest. And if you hadn't played the first game you would never have guessed that he was with Serah. They didn't hug. They didn't kiss. They didn't even cry when they left each other. There was more romance between Serah and Noel than with Snow. And his L'Cie mark thing was stupid you never know what happened to him or what Fal'Cie branded him. According to the Wiki he got stuck in the colisseum which is stupid.
They better be brought back into Lightning Returns (along with Serah) otherwise it's gonna annoy me so much.
You spent the whole of FF13 saving Serah just for her to die in FF13-2. And you spent the whole of 13-2 trying to save the world and you lose. The whole game was pointless. Fun but pointless :'D
So far only confirmed characters are Lightning (lol obviously XD), Hope, Snow, and freaking Chocolina.
Hope more stuff is put into LR before its release because its already in testing right now.
