"It's you and me, Megatron.""No, it's just ME, Prime!"
This wasn't what the actual scene looked like, but I sure wish it did.
First picture done in Photoshop CS - CS ROCKS!
I drew Megatron too dark, so I had to darken Prime a lot to compensate. The result is that a lot of Prime's detail was lost. I'll upload another picture with his detail soon. I spent three hours on Prime alone, and my wrist hurt at the end of it. But I had SO much fun with this picture, it was insane.

this is really different to what you normally put up here. it's awsome to see tyou tackling drama on a large scale.
the taunt poses of both of the charaters makes conflict feel inevitable and you can just imagine them launching into one another. they're also both deffinatly more convincing than the redition of optimus in the last transfrormer peice you put up and you seem to really have got around the issue of light on metal. the sharp highlights running over the shapes lend them a certain sharpness, especiallyin the case of megatron who seems to be construted of nothing but jagged peices.
ptrime is especially well crafted, the sophisticated lighting from infront of him combined with the dedication to detail making him feel prticuarly grounded. megatron feels a tad more messy. also, he may be a tad too dark. the taxi's a nice touch, giving us somethign to measure the two against and establishing the space between them. their's something a little off with the building in the back drop. prehapse you have the edge of it sloping away a bit too steeply.

The taxi was in the original screenshot, so I can't really take credit for that. As I explained, I started off with Megatron, so he should have set the lighting of the picture, but since Prime is made up of brighter colours - plus I had a brighter reference picture to work with - I made the mistake of making him a lot brighter.
I didn't have any reference for the buildings, and also I was running out of time, so I guess that really was badly done. I'll do better next time (I hope).

I haven't watched Transformers yet actually, going to the movies has gotten so expensive >_< But I'm certainly looking forward to seeing it eventually!
I'll have to borrow my friend's huge TV, once I can rent it on DVD.. cause this is a movie that certainly has to be seen BIG, ya?

I loved the battles, but I can't say the same for how they were filmed. I was getting dizzy by the end of the movie, the camera was shaking so much ;_;

Thanks! This is only the second picture I've ever done of robots or any such metallic things, so I've got a long way to go yet, especially in use of light. But I'm glad you like it so far.
